Boutique hospitality consulting

Great hospitality
is never accidental.

We help teams move beyond service mechanics to create a culture of hospitality—where operational excellence and genuine care work together.

Service is the execution.
Hospitality is how it feels.

The Hospitality Edit is a boutique consulting studio for restaurants, hotels, caterers, and growing hospitality groups ready to strengthen both the guest and team experience.

We connect hospitality with execution: thoughtful care, preferred guest recognition, confident recovery, allergy awareness, clear procedures, and leaders who model the culture every day.

Maripili Morón

Founder & Hospitality Consultant

Maripili brings a decade of hands-on experience across restaurant operations, hospitality training, new openings, employee onboarding, and people operations. Her career began in 2016 as a prep cook before progressing through service and leadership roles including server, shift lead, manager, and office manager.

During her career with José Andrés Group, Maripili supported new restaurant openings including Zaytinya, Bazaar Mar in Las Vegas, and The Bazaar in Washington, DC. Her responsibilities included employee onboarding, concept-specific hospitality training, food knowledge resources, learning content, mock service preparation, and opening support.

She also developed concept-specific learning content in Opus and contributed to food knowledge matrices that helped teams understand menu descriptions, ingredients, preparation, cultural context, dietary considerations, and allergens. Today, her work in payroll and benefits adds a valuable perspective on the connection between employee experience, operational systems, and hospitality culture.

Her background in International Trade complements her hospitality experience with a global and cross-cultural business perspective.
